Refund Policy

Refund Policy (Syslics)

Last Updated: January 29, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when Syslics (“we”, “us”, “our”) will issue refunds and how cancellations work. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. Our services include Managed Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Servers, security/protection, backups, and related hosting add-ons.

1) Key Definitions

  • Consumer: An individual acting outside their trade/business.
  • Business Customer: Any purchase made for business/commercial purposes.
  • Service Start / Provisioning: When we activate your hosting/server, allocate resources, deploy software, or begin managed work.

2) Statutory (Legal) Rights — Consumers in the EU/EEA/UK

If you are a Consumer in the EU/EEA (and in many cases the UK), you generally have a 14-day right to cancel certain distance/online contracts starting from the day the contract is concluded, unless an exception applies.

Important for hosting & digital services:
If you request that we start providing the service immediately (e.g., instant provisioning/activation), your cancellation/refund rights may be limited under applicable consumer rules. For example, for digital content/services supplied during the cancellation period, the right to cancel can be lost once supply begins if the customer provided the required consent and acknowledgement.

If we have started providing the service at your request:
Where permitted by law, you may still be required to pay for the portion of service already provided up to cancellation, and only the remaining prepaid amount (if any) may be refundable.

Notice requirement (EU):
Under EU consumer rules, if required cancellation information is not properly provided, the cancellation period can be extended (in some cases up to 12 months).

This section does not limit any mandatory rights you may have under local law.

3) Our Commercial Refund Rules (Non-mandatory, applies unless law requires otherwise)

Unless your order page/quote states a different guarantee, fees are generally non-refundable once provisioning or managed work has started, except:

  • Duplicate payments / billing errors: refundable after verification.
  • Non-provisioned orders: if we have not started provisioning and you cancel, we may refund the hosting fee paid (minus payment processing fees, if applicable).
  • Service failure to deliver: if we cannot deliver the purchased service and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, you may request cancellation and a refund of the affected prepaid fees.

4) Non-Refundable Items (Common International Practice)

The following are typically non-refundable (unless required by law), because they are third-party or instantly delivered costs:

  • Domain registrations, renewals, transfers
  • Setup fees / installation fees (if already performed)
  • Third-party licenses (e.g., control panel, software licenses) once issued/activated
  • Add-ons already delivered/activated (e.g., certain security services)
This approach is standard across many hosting providers.

5) Abuse, Fraud, and Policy Violations

If your account is suspended/terminated for fraud, abuse, illegal activity, or Acceptable Use violations, you are not eligible for a refund for the affected period.

6) How to Request a Refund / Cancellation

Send a request with:

  • Your account email, invoice/order number, and the service(s) to cancel
  • The reason for the request
  • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, timestamps)

7) Refund Method & Processing Time

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible. Processing time depends on your bank/payment provider; we aim to process approved refunds within a reasonable timeframe.

8) Chargebacks

Please contact us first before filing a chargeback. Unresolved chargebacks may result in service suspension while we investigate.

9) Updates to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted with an updated “Last Updated” date.
